The current development of artificial intelligence is the result of advances in computers that have made it possible to handle big data, the spread of machine learning, and deep learning. The growing technology of artificial intelligence has penetrated in our actual daily lives, and also in the field of medicine. The development of artificial intelligence in the field of image recognition is leading the way, and research and development in the medical field is also progressing in the field of medical imaging. Some of AI-using products are already on the market and being used in daily clinical practice. There are several issues related to the use and research of AI in the medical field：the quantity and quality of training data are necessary to improve the accuracy of AI, the inside of AI is a black box, and it is difficult to know what features are extracted. In the research field, there is a need for protection of personal information and the need for large amounts of data to improve the accuracy of AI. We believe that research and development should be physician-led because physicians can access to medical data easier than other researchers.
