The content includes salt restriction, supplementation of potassium, magnesium, calcium, polyunsaturated fatty acids and diet fiber, weight reduction, physical exercise, alcohol and coffee consumptions, cigarette smoking, and stress management. Among them, salt restriction, weight reduction and physical exercise are effective in lowering blood pressure if they are practiced continuously.
