We also examined plasma concentrations of the local anesthetics after caudal injection. Forty children, who were scheduled for inguinal herniorrhaphy, underwent caudal block with 0.2% ropivacaine 1 ml/kg (group R, n=20) or 0.25% bupivacaine 1 ml/kg (group B, n=20) after induction of general anesthesia. Anesthesia was maintained using a face mask with 66% nitrous oxide in oxygen supplemented with sevoflurane. Postoperative pain scores using a pediatric pain scale and plasma concentration of each local anesthetic were measured using gas chromatography. Since two patients in Group R and one patient in Group B required more than 1 % of sevoflurane to prevent their body movement when the surgical procedure was started, they were excluded from this study as the failed block. No patient in Groups R and B required intraoperative analgesics under light general anesthesia and postoperative analgesics. The maximum plasma concentration of ropivacaine and bupivacaine were 0.70±0.28μg/ml at 45 min and 0.80±0.42μg/ml at 30 min after the caudal injection, respectively. In conclusion, pediatric caudal block with 0.2 % ropivacaine is an alternative to 0.25 % bupivacaine for intraoperative and postoperative analgesia.","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_2_description_8":{"attribute_name":"記事種別(日)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"原著","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_2_description_9":{"attribute_name":"記事種別(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Original","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_2_source_id_1":{"attribute_name":"雑誌書誌ID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA00629581","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_2_source_id_19":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"03855023","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_2_text_7":{"attribute_name":"著者所属(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_language":"en","subitem_text_value":"Department of Anesthesiology, Dokkyo Medical University"},{"subitem_text_language":"en","subitem_text_value":"Department of Anesthesiology, Dokkyo Medical University"},{"subitem_text_language":"en","subitem_text_value":"Department of Anesthesiology, Dokkyo Medical University"},{"subitem_text_language":"en","subitem_text_value":"Department of Anesthesiology, Dokkyo Medical University"},{"subitem_text_language":"en","subitem_text_value":"Department of Legal Medicine, Dokkyo Medical University"},{"subitem_text_language":"en","subitem_text_value":"Department of Anesthesiology, Dokkyo Medical University"}]},"item_2_title_3":{"attribute_name":"論文名よみ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Comparison of 0.2% Ropivacaine and 0.25% Bupivacaine in Pediatric Caudal Block : Evaluation of Postoperative Pain and Plasma Concentration of Local Anesthetics"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Hashizume, Yoshitaka","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2107","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamaguchi, Shigeki","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2108","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Fukagawa, Daigo","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2109","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Ikeda, Tomohito","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2110","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Nagai, Toshiaki","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2111","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Hamaguchi, Shinsuke","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"2112","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2017-05-24"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"KJ00005058599.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"526.5 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"KJ00005058599.pdf","url":"https://dmu.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/523/files/KJ00005058599.pdf"},"version_id":"ab95ebd4-1c75-42dc-a3d3-9c3cf96e0daf"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Pediatric anesthesia","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Caudal block","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Ropivacaine","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Bupivacaine","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Comparison of 0.2% Ropivacaine and 0.25% Bupivacaine in Pediatric Caudal Block : Evaluation of Postoperative Pain and Plasma Concentration of Local Anesthetics","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Comparison of 0.2% Ropivacaine and 0.25% Bupivacaine in Pediatric Caudal Block : Evaluation of Postoperative Pain and Plasma Concentration of Local Anesthetics","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"2","owner":"3","path":["41"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2017-05-24"},"publish_date":"2017-05-24","publish_status":"0","recid":"523","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Comparison of 0.2% Ropivacaine and 0.25% Bupivacaine in Pediatric Caudal Block : Evaluation of Postoperative Pain and Plasma Concentration of Local Anesthetics"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":3},"updated":"2023-06-20T16:09:15.094283+00:00"}
