| 内容記述 | 在宅看護は近代看護教育の発祥と共にあったと考えられ,19世紀後半から20 世紀に至る日本とイングランドの看護に関連する法規及び医療統計を看護婦数，医療政策等の視点から検討した. 研究方法は文献研究であり，日英両国の法規及び統計資料を中心に文献研究を行った．結果は日本とイングランドの看護婦数の変遷や家庭での看護婦の需要が病院へと移行したことが明らかとなり，3つの図と年表を作成した．これらより看護婦の需要は当初家庭にあったが，次第に病院へと移行してきており，病院における看護師一人当たりの病床数は看護業務の高度化, 専門化の指標となるという結論が得られた. | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | Visiting nursing coincides with modern nursing education. This study discusses nursing law and the institutions for ward nurses, hired nurses, and visiting nurses from the mid-nineteenth century until twentieth century, from the perspective of medical statics, nursing politics, and so forth. It also discusses differences between hired nurses and modern visiting nurses, nursing autonomy from the viewpoint of visiting nurses, and legal aspects of the nursing system and education in Japan and England. Research methodology involved a literature study comparing laws and statistical data between Japan and England. Results: The results are presented as three figures and a chronological table based on data obtained from Japan and England. Conclusion: Domestic nurses were in demand in the early-twentieth century. The demand for ward nurses increased from the mid-twentieth century. The number of beds per nurse indicates upgradation or specialization in nursing. | |||||||||
